Daniel Amar
Mr. Daniel Amar is the Research Director at Yaldei Developmental Center and co-investigator of the project will work collaboratively with Dr. Sladeczek in coordinating and implementing the different components of the project.
Daniel Amar has undergraduate degrees in Physiology and Psychology and was a research associate in the McGill Department of Epidemiology and Biostatisitics and participated in a number of large scale longitudinal surveys examining various health care issues in different populations.
As a private consultant he has carried out a number of surveys examining attitudes towards continuing education and identification of educational needs among medical and nursing staff in various medical specialties.
Mr. Amar has an MBA and has spent close to 20 years in community organization, planning and service development. In his capacity as Director of Community Planning he has spearheaded many community wide efforts to affect large scale transformations in service delivery systems in a number of community sectors. Mr. Amar was Director of the Tolerance Foundation and President of the City of Montreal’s Intercultural Relations Committee and has had many years of experience in developing solid strategies to affect changes in attitudes, behaviours and practices among different populations.
More recently Mr. Amar has focused his work in developing the Yaldei Developmental Center’s capacity for clinical research and expanding the array of therapeutic intervention modes in this very unique Early Intervention centre.
